I have no on-screen controls

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Just installing using the instructions

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Having on-screen controls as i see other people have is expected. Instead, the 
game starts normally, but without on-screen controls. I can look around and 
shoot by tapping. And that's pretty much it. 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
apk file from these instructions and pk3's are downloaded from torrents. On 
Android 2.2

Please provide any additional information below.
I'm on HTC Desire and i cannot believe nobody else complained about this except 
me o.O (as far as i can see)
