Faces create generic sensor name #506
Comments
Interesting. I think the issue may be because there are so many that the names are truncated. |
I have the same issue. It started happening about 3 weeks ago (ios16 beta and Windows.) It’s not just face detection it’s any type of motion or zones on all camera. It’s impossible to create a new automation trigger now as there is no way of telling them apart. |
Ah. Could be an iOS 16 thing. I'll take a look. Just updated today. |
So, I just noticed that you can see each face name (the name you assigned to the face) when you look at Home on MacOs instead of iOS. I was able to find one near the bottom that was for the generic motion only sensor, which is what I have been looking for. It's like on iOS it is cutting off the rest of the text from the title of the sensor. |
Apologies. I've been busy with life things :). Yes. I see that the sensors are getting the correct name but ios16 is cutting them off on the phones... I'm not sure what else I can do to resolve this since I suspect it still works perfectly on iOS 15. |
