Enhancement of issue

The Nest Doorbell Battery doesnt connect to the old home.nest.com accounts. It does connect to Google Home. Technically it should work, because in the backend, I am sure it uses the same Infrastructure. However because there is no current Web Client for the Cam, I have no idea how to get to a refresh token.

Solution

I dont have a solution. Thats why I contact you. I am sure in the Google Home App, there could be one, but I have no idea how to fetch it.

Alternatives

No response

Additional Context

I can beta test any software you develop. I hope that there is a solution. Maybe via SDM, but I never looked at it.

Can it be implemented?

Can it? Yes. Starling uses WebRTC. If Google would release their web version, I could reverse engineer it. I don't know of any other way to find the code other than that.

I think Scrypted supports WebRTC Nest Doorbell Battery, but I haven't had time to set it up yet. If they do, they must be somehow transcoding it.

I bought myself a Starling Home Hub. It works with the Nest Doorbell Battery. If you need something for reverse engineering, I am willed to support you. I just cant send you the Hub.

Scrypted uses the newer device api to interface with the newer cameras. The free apis used in this plugin are still not capable of accessing them.

Have you had a chance / been added to Google's new preview of their web version that they just released? http://home.google.com
