Hey! So, it sounds like you’re having trouble downloading version 4.10 of s2client-proto when you’re trying to load a replay. That can be a bit of a headache.

Here’s a few things you might want to try:

  1. Update Check: First, make sure you’re using the latest version of everything. Sometimes, bugs get fixed in newer releases, and that might solve the problem.

  2. Replay File: Double-check the replay file. It might be worth trying a different replay to see if it’s a problem with that specific file.

  3. Compatibility: Make sure the s2client-proto version you’re trying to use matches up with the replay. Sometimes versions don’t play nicely together.

  4. Internet Connection: A quick check to ensure your internet is working properly might help. Sometimes connection issues can mess with downloads.

  5. Clear Cache: Try clearing out any cached files related to s2client-proto. Sometimes old or corrupted cache files can cause issues.

  6. Manual Download: If the automatic download isn’t working, you might want to manually download version 4.10 and put it in the right place.

  7. Logs: Check any logs that are generated. They might give you more clues about what’s going wrong.

  8. Dependencies: Ensure all the dependencies for s2client-proto are up to date. Sometimes, missing or outdated dependencies can be the culprit.

If you’re still stuck after trying these, let me know! We can dig a bit deeper into it.

Thank you, but I'm facing a different issue. When running DI-star on Windows OS, I'm unable to download StarCraft II version 4.10 by loading a replay from this version. This is problematic because most SC2 AI models, including those used in DI-star, were trained on version 4.10. Unfortunately, Blizzard has not released newer versions of StarCraft II for Linux, making it essential for users seeking optimal performance to download version 4.10 via replay loading.

The DI-star documentation provides the following instructions for downloading StarCraft II version 4.10.0:

- Download StarCraftII version 4.10.0:
Double-click the file `data/replays/replay_4.10.0.SC2Replay`. StarCraftII version 4.10.0 will be automatically downloaded.

Note: Our models were trained on versions ranging from 4.8.2 to 4.9.3. However, due to significant performance impacts from changes introduced in Patch 5.0.9 (released March 15, 2022), we have fixed our evaluation to version 4.10.0.

This method was functional in 2022 and 2023, but I am currently unable to use it.
