thinking with time machine style #2100
Comments
I'm actually making it |
This issue should go in the BEE2-items repo. |
No it’d require a lot of compiler changes. The problem is that to make the time mechanic work, every item which interacts with the player needs to be modified to tell the system when it’s used and then simulate being used by the clone. That would be a huge amount of work, then we’d need to deal with the style. Which itself has issues, it’s not really that clear. Needing to add portal symbols is not a good thing. |
The style isn't the actual features from the mod... just the general feel of the chambers (futuristic light blue and dark gray panels along with specifically placed white portalable surfaces) |
Sure, but if we just add that it’ll definitely make lots of people ask for the actual time mechanic. |
Understood. Thanks for informing me! |
Description of the feature
Quite simple really, I was just wondering if there was a possibility of a thinking with time machine style being implemented in the far, and I mean the FAR future.
Why should this be implemented
I believe that since TWTM had such a unique style (for a portal game) it could be used for a lot more "complicated" test elements. (lifeform sensor, radiative flux rectangle etc.) if you can't get permission or this isn't currently possible, that's ok!
