Upgrading from jfk 11 to 17 should take 5 minutes unless you are in some gigantic project

no we are on a 6 month security and update cycle across the board, in every language and every product - whether it's java microsoft apple or oracle, that's the world today..

Not that stepping up, in this case, takes more than changing a property in your pom, there were no breaking changes from jdk 11 to 17 apart from the strict module system which is not a problem here since we are compliant with Jigsaw. It's like if people were scared to upgrade for some reason
