What happened?

This may have been intentional, but I fail to see the logic behind it.

  • The Bouncing Claws deactivated my Defensive Dome immediately. As I understand the DD, it shouldn't be able to jump onto the protected fields and cause any damage.

For example, a ZZoo bounces off of it as well when using Skydrop attack and the DD is active.

Steps to reproduce

as in the video

Expected Behavior

I would expect that it wouldn't be able to enter inside of the protected area -> since it can't enter, it wouldn't be able to cause any damage with Bouncing Claws -> therefore the Dome shouldn't be deactivated.

Hey @kissiga

We have an internal issue regarding the shield VFX expiring early when a Nefty will deal enough damage to break it during their turn, which may lead to some confusion. You can see that the first hit by Bitebit was deflected by the shield pop up.

Regarding Zzoo's case, on our end we're seeing that Zzoo can indeed damage the shield with a Sky Drop direct hit or AoE (but will get bounced out afterward if the shield is still active). In your case, you're seeing the dome block damage completey from Sky Drop by bouncing Zzoo out first?

Thank you for the detailed answer.

Regarding the ZZoo's & Skydrop vs Dome case: I reviewed my recordings and realized that I had remembered it incorrectly. Both the shield and No Escape were active, but it was No Escape that saved me, not the shield.
Unfortunately, during the game, I didn't notice this and mistakenly thought it was the shield that saved me. 🤦‍♂️
