Simple fact is, there are topics/people I just don't want to read about, and editing a couple dozen individual feeds to mute those terms is a hassle.

I'd suggest a Mute List feature added to the 'All' options screen. Each Term should have an 'enable/disable' checkbox, as well as options to check for the Term in the Title or Content (or Both) of any news item downloaded.
