In particular:

  • Internal ARCHER2 data transfers (e.g. work -> RDFaaS): do not use mv due to chance of data loss, use cp (maybe with -v option for trasfers with larger numbers of files).
  • Example of how to use md5sum to verify that file is intact (as raw reported file sizes may be different on different file systems.
