In the description of the code, it says that 'All the messages sent to generated mails, you will receive it on your valid mail which you have entered at the starting.' but that doesn't work. I don't see any code provided that could support such a feature. How is this supposed to work? Can if be fixed?

THis is not generating a new gmail, this only modifies a bit of your original gmail so some naive websites belive you are on a different gmail, even though in the backend its the same. so using [email protected] and [email protected] is the same gmail address, but it MIGHT trick some quickly made websites.
